Clip in Hair Extension Washing Instruction
-
Brushing your clip in hair extensions before washing them is essential to avoid them becoming knotted. Brush carefully from bottom to top with a wide-tooth comb or a soft-bristle brush to remove any tough knots without pulling the hair out. After that, stack your wefts on top of each other in a bundle to avoid tangling with the clips.
-
Before you start washing your hair extensions, clean your sink, then plug the drain and fill it with lukewarm water. In the sink, pour around 2-3 pumps of moisturising, alcohol-free, sulfate-free, and color-safe shampoo.
-
Cleanse your hair extensions with shampoo. Hold the weft at the top of the hair, submerge it in water, and gently wash it with light strokes. Keep them from tangling by gently handling them. Place each weft neatly on a towel and continue the process with the remaining wefts. After shampooing all of the wefts, condition them from top to bottom. Leave the hair product on for 5-10 minutes before properly rinsing it out.
-
Our superb hair extensions in the UK, like your actual hair, require special attention and maintenance. Apply a hair mask or deep conditioner on each weft from top to bottom to keep them silky and hydrated. To allow the hair product to soak into every strand and seal in the moisture, bundle them up and place them in a shower cap overnight.
-
After conditioning, rinse each weft and check for a slippery, silky feeling. Remember that if you leave items on your hair extensions after they’ve dried, they’ll weigh them down and make them oily. To seal in moisture and make them softer, silkier, and shinier, use cold water.
6. Squeeze out any excess water after rinsing your hair extensions. To avoid tangles or damage, never rub them dry with a towel. Instead, air-dry them and use a high-quality microfibre towel.
